Dubai is four to five hours from Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Entebbe, Kigali and Zanzibar. Enough of our guests were adding a safari on either side of their stay that leaving them to find an operator alone stopped making sense.
So we did what we would want done for us: we found an operator we trust on the ground in East Africa, and we put ourselves in front of them. The game drives, the guides and the camps are theirs. The planning, the answering and the accountability are ours — the same as they are in Dubai.
We are not pretending to run safaris. What we are doing is making sure that if you book one through us, there is somebody you already know holding the whole thing together, on one number, before and during the trip.

Six routes people actually ask for
Pick a country, or let the month pick it for you. Most trips end up crossing at least one border, and that is usually the right call.
Kenya
The Masai Mara, Amboseli beneath Kilimanjaro and the Rift Valley lakes — usually finished off on the Diani or Watamu coast.
Tanzania
The Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and the migration river crossings. The classic first safari, and still the one people talk about years later.
Zanzibar
White sand, warm water and Stone Town. The week almost everybody adds on once the game drives are done.
Uganda
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi, chimpanzees in Kibale, the source of the Nile and the falls at Murchison.
Rwanda
Mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, and one of the smoothest arrivals anywhere in the region.
Combined routes
Most trips cross a border — Serengeti to the Mara, or a gorilla permit followed by a week on the islands. We build the whole route as one plan.

The Great Migration
Nearly two million wildebeest moving between the Serengeti and the Mara. Where you need to be changes month by month, which is exactly why the date decides the route and not the other way round.
Gorilla & chimp trekking
An hour with a habituated gorilla family in Bwindi or Volcanoes. Permits are limited, dated and sell out well ahead — this is the part of the trip to book first.
Big Five game drives
Sunrise and late-afternoon drives with a licensed guide who knows the park, in an open 4x4 rather than a minibus with eight strangers.
Kilimanjaro & the highlands
A full summit route with a proper support team, or the easier foothill and crater-rim walks for travellers who want the scenery without the altitude.
Zanzibar & the coast
Reef diving, dhow sailing, the spice farms and Stone Town — the quiet half of the trip, once the early starts are behind you.
Culture and community
Maasai and Samburu communities, coffee farms in the highlands and the coastal Swahili towns. Arranged respectfully, through people who live there.

A safari has more moving parts than a city break: dated permits, internal flights on small aircraft, camps that hold a handful of tents and a season that changes the answer to every question.
All of it is arranged before you fly, written down with the cost against it, and confirmed back to you. If something cannot be secured for your dates, you will hear that from us early rather than discover it at the airport.

From a message to a route
Four stages, and the first one is only a month — everything else follows from it.
Tell us the month
Not the itinerary — the month. The migration, the gorilla permits, the rains and the price all move with the calendar, so the dates come first.
We send back a route
A day-by-day route with the camps named, the drives explained and the full cost written down. No deposit until you are happy with it.
Permits and camps secured
Our partner on the ground holds the permits and the beds. This is the step that cannot be left late in high season.
You travel. We stay on the phone.
A flight moves, a road washes out, a child gets tired. You message one number and it is dealt with, exactly as it would be in Dubai.
Tell us the month. We will send back a route.
You do not need an itinerary to start — roughly when, roughly how long and who is travelling is enough. We will come back with a day-by-day route and a written cost.
